Mediation Office

Have there been disagreements in creating or updating your cooperation plan? Can't you agree with your integration advisor?

Please note:
The mediation procedure only applies to disagreements between you as an eligible person and your responsible advisor that arise from the creation or updating of a cooperation plan according to § 15 SGB II.

Good to know

  • Your participation in the mediation procedure is voluntary.
  • A mediation procedure will not disadvantage you.
  • Our mediator acts independently and impartially. This means they will moderate your mediation discussion without taking sides or providing conflict resolution instructions.
  • The conflict resolution lies in the hands of both conflicting parties. This means the mediator will not impose a solution but will support both parties in finding a compromise.
  • The commitment and willingness to compromise of both parties are required to find a satisfactory solution.
  • During the discussion, rules apply that enable dialogue. For example, letting each other speak without interruption, not insulting each other, or becoming aggressive. The rules will be explained before the discussion. Violating the rules may lead to termination of the mediation discussion.
  • The goal is to resolve the existing disagreement amicably.
  • The procedure ends with an agreement on a new or updated cooperation plan concluded by mutual consent or automatically four weeks after commencement if no amicable agreement can be reached during this time.
